Something separates Texas A&M from every other institution of higher learning.
That something is our brand.
Dear Texas A&M University colleagues:
An important aspect of the Texas A&M brand is our visual identity. It plays an important role in the overall perception others have of the university. Our visual identity is one component of how we tell our story and highlight the university's academic excellence, research and core values. To make the most of our efforts, we should all follow a set of visual guidelines so that we represent the university in a consistent manner. The visual guidelines presented in this guide will help all components of the university take on a unified identity and ultimately strengthen the university brand.
While a brand is more than a logo, an important face of any brand is the graphic representation and interpretation of that brand. These graphic standards are extremely important to the university and consistent use will help build our identity and eliminate any confusion about who we are.
This guide is intended for use by all academic, research, outreach, student services and administrative units that are funded through or by the university. I strongly encourage you to follow these guidelines in all print correspondence and materials you produce — whether for internal or external audiences.
The Division of Marketing & Communications has responsibility for maintaining and updating the guide and has worked hard to make it a useful document for everyone on campus. I encourage you to send your comments and suggestions to brandguide@tamu.edu. Your feedback will be taken seriously and be used as the basis for future updates to the visual identity guide.
Thank you in advance for your adherence to these guidelines and I look forward to seeing their implementation across campus as we highlight the significant work that is taking place here at Texas A&M.
